Fans across the world are keen for the much-awaited cricket league, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, to begin. The first match of this season's league will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Saturday, September 19, 2020, between Mumbai Indians (MI) Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Ahead of tournament's opening match, former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sunil Gavaskar, has stated that the team this year lacks experienced spinners and has also raised concerns regarding side's middle-order.
On Friday, September 18, 2020, Mumbai Indians released the full list of players - fondly called as Rohit Sharma's squad.

This year, the team will be playing under the mentorship of Mahela Jayawardene as the head coach. IPL season 12 was won by Mumbai Indians, and MI has lifted the trophy four times so far, starting in 2013, followed by 2015, 2017 and 2019. It has also become the first IPL team to have won 100 matches.
A total of 53 matches will be played this season and the first match will be held at Abu Dhabi-based Sheikh Zayed Stadium, and others will be at venues located in Sharjah and Dubai
