The World Cup 2019 is merely 100 days away and prior to the International Cricket Council (ICC) tournament, the Indian cricketing world poses a question of whether to play against Pakistan or not. In a press conference ahead of the first T20 against Australia in Vishakapatnam, the Indian captain Virat Kohli was asked about the same. In response, he said that the Indian team will do as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tells them to do.

The question comes after the terrorist attacks on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy on February 14. After the attacks, Pakistan was accused of being in the support of terrorists and so, cricketing fans and players have demanded to sever all the bonds with Pakistan.

Our sincere condolences to the families of CRPF soldiers who lost their lives in Pulwama Attack. We stand by what the nation wants to do and what the BCCI decides to do. We will go by what the govt & the Board decides, we will respect that," the Indian skipper said.

Meanwhile, in a shocking outburst, television anchor Arnab Goswami on Friday led a wave of insults against cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar and used the hashtag #ShameOnAntiNationals.

I don’t believe in any Gods. Sachin Tendulkar is 100 percent wrong. Sachin Tendulkar, if he has any sense, he should realise that he should be the first person to say that don’t play with Pakistan. (Sunil) Gavaskar should be the second person to say that don’t play with Pakistan. These people say that we need two points. Both are damn wrong. We don’t need two points. I want revenge for my martyrs. Sachin Tendulkar can take his two points and put it in the dustbin,” Goswami blurted out in his show.

As a result two of the panelists and guests on the TV show walked out of the debate/discussion. The hilarious outrage from Arnab comes after Tendulkar on Friday had said,

India has always come up trumps against Pakistan in the World Cup. Time to beat them once again. Would personally hate to give them two points and help them in the tournament.”

However, the Little Master had also added that he will support the government’s decision if it decided to boycott the match.

While BCCI is relying on the government to take the final call, Kohli has vowed to respect whatever the decision is. On the other hand, BCCI has already written a letter to ICC demanding the ouster of nations supporting terrorism.
