India may have lost the third T20 against hosts New Zealand but a gesture MS Dhoni put the Indian fans out of misery as he picked up the tricolour on the ground. During the encounter when New Zealand were batting and Dhoni was keeping the wickets, a fan rushed to meet MSD.

However, while meeting Dhoni, the fan accidentally forgot about the Indian tricolour in his hands and it was touching the ground. But in an instant, Dhoni with his lightning quick hands managed to pull the Indian flag up.

After which, the fan ran out of the ground towards the stands. Meanwhile, the Kiwis defeated the Men in Blue as they posted 212 runs after captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field. In a close encounter, India failed to chase the target and lost to New Zealand by four runs. Accordingly, New Zealand won the T20 series by 2-1.
