Social media is a double-edged sword and sometimes, despite all its benefits, it can be harmful and distasteful. On one such occasion, a report of Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina dying from a car went viral on social media. However, the fake reached the southpaw who then went on to clarify on Twitter that the entire report was just a hoax and he was fine.
Earlier, various YouTube channels had made videos about Raina's car accident which went viral on social media to such an extent that the cricketer's relatives called him up to re-affirm the news.
Here's his tweet:
Past few days there has been fake news of me being hurt in a car accident. The hoax has my family & friends deeply disturbed. Please ignore any such news; with god’s grace I'm doing absolutely fine. Those @youtube channels have been reported & hope strict actions will be taken soon

Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings batsman has been out of the national team for quite a few time owing to his out-of-form gameplay. Therefore, he will look forward to performing well in the IPL to gain the selectors' trust.
