As the Indian Premier League (IPL) steps towards another season, the franchises are driving towards bringing the trophy this year for themselves and for that purpose, the team need to bring in better players on board. Therefore, the teams have fought really hard at the IPL 2019 Auctions held at Jaipur on December 18.
Mumbai Indians began their signing with their former teammate Lasith Malinga as they roped him for ₹2 crore. Mumbai Indians had only one slot for a foreign signing and they brought Malinga on board and filled that slot.

Alongside, they also signed Anmolpreet Singh at ₹80 lakh, Barinder Sran at ₹3.40 crore whereas Pankaj Jaswal and Rasikh Dar were signed at ₹20 lakh respectively at the Indian Premier League 2019 Auction.

However, the greatest surprise was when the Paltan signed Yuvraj Singh too at ₹1 crore. The left-hander went unsold in the first round of the auctions but was picked up by Mumbai Indians in the second round.

The deal of the evening was Varun Chakravarthy who was bought by Kings XI Punjab for ₹8.40 Crore. Varun is a right-arm mystery spinner and has managed to shine in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) this year by putting up a blazing show whereas he has 22 List A wickets to his name in just nine List A matches.
