On Saturday night, it was an interesting game of cricket as Mumbai Indians (MI) clashed with SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. Mumbai Indian elected to bat first after winning the toss. They were restricted to 150 for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Another interesting thing that occurred during this match is captain Rohit Sharma managed to overtake M S Dhoni as the batsman to have hit the maximum number of sixes in the IPL. Rohit hit 2 sixes in this game on Saturday. With the help of these, his tally of sixes now stands at 217, which is one more than Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni. Rohit at the moment is at the third spot in the overall list behind Chris Gayle (351) and AB de Villers (237).
While MI were not able to post as many runs as they wanted but they still managed to win this match by 13 runs. SRH started well with a 67-run opening wicket partnership between Jonny Bairstow (43 off 22 balls) and David Warner (36 off 24 balls). However, their middle order could not sustain on and resulted in SRH losing their third consecutive match.
On Sunday, there are 2 IPL matched scheduled. The first one is between RCB vs KKR at 3:30 PM and DC Vs PBKS will be in the evening at 7:30 PM.
