The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 is still months away, but that hasn’t stopped the teams from competing against each other. Instead of facing each other on the field, this time, on Tuesday, November 13, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad indulged in a Twitter chitchat that saw the Twitterati ROFL!
It all began with all rounder Hardik Pandya posting a photo with his brother Krunal Pandya and fellow teammate Kieron Pollard,
I had to hold my phone pretty high to fit Big Polly into the frame 😂 Happy to see you again my brother 😘 ❤ pic.twitter.com/lNXnI89B4E

After which, Mumbai Indians retweeted the photo and claimed,
“Find a better all-rounder trio. We will wait.”

And thus, amidst the claims being made, Sunrisers Hyderabad replied with a photo of Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Shakib Al Hasan, claiming, “The wait is over.”

However, the three-time league champions were not the ones to go on backfoot and quirkily replied with a photo of the three IPL trophies, and said, “The wait goes on.”

In the meantime, Chennai Super Kings tried to remind everyone about the boss and posted a photo of MS Dhoni displaying him as the best all-rounder trio.

In response, Kolkata Knight Riders had this to say,
Did someone say allrounders? 😎@Russell12A @SunilPNarine74 @jacqueskallis75

While CSK and MI have claimed the trophy three times each, Sunrisers had won the title once in 2016 under the captaincy of David Warner. The war of words between the IPL teams may have rested for now, but the teams will look forward to seeing each other on the field where the actual combat will take place.
