A 52-year-old man died after being hit on the head by a ball during a cricket match in Matunga. The deceased has been identified as Jayesh Chunnalal Sawla (52) and is a resident of Bhayander. In this case, a case of death has been registered at Matunga Police Station.
On Monday, the cricket series of Kachhi Samaj was going on at Dadkar Maidan in Matunga East. At that time Savala was fielding during the match. At that time, when a cricket match was going on on the side pitch, the ball hit the batsman's head and Sawla fell down.

He was immediately taken to Lion Tarachand Hospital. Doctors there declared Savala dead. These matches were organised for persons above 50 years of age.
