MCA to make senior players clear 'YoYo Test' to be eligible for selection

Following the footsteps of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Mumbai Cricket Association has also raised the bar for the fitness of its players. For the upcoming season, Mumbai’s senior team cricketers (U-23 and Ranji Trophy) will have to pass the YoYo test in order to be eligible for selection for Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Mumbai’s Ajit Agarkar-led senior selection committee made the decision that the YoYo test will be necessary for the player’s selection. The probable list will be ready in a few days and they will train at an indoor academy at the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) ground.
