The latest cricket league in the city — T20 Mumbai League — has finally kicked off with Andheri, Mumbai North East registering wins on the opening day. The league is an exciting platform for young talent across the city with teams participating from various areas of Mumbai.

Talking about the league, the channel that launched the league released a statement that said, "In this fast-paced life everyone wants a quick and win the game. The T20 format supports that and we wanted to bring it in Mumbai.The league will not only entertain the cricket fans in the city but also provide a great platform to young Mumbai cricketers. This T20 Mumbai will bring all the young Mumbai players under the same umbrella. It will encourage the young talent and help to identify, develop and promote cricketers at a core level. A tournament like T20 Mumbai was necessary for a city like Mumbai which has such a rich history in the sport of cricket"

Former Indian pacer, Zaheer Khan had a few things to say about the T20 Mumbai League who was present at the event, "The initiative is very good as per the youngster are concerned, we have a very able leader Abhishek Nayar and Amit Dani as a couch he is a very hard working couch I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sobo Supersonics for this wonderful opportunity to make me a part of this and whatever role I could play to motivate and inspire the team to achieve this tournament we will do it and I would like to wish every one of T20 Mumbai Team all the best." The pacer further added, "Whatever motivation we can give to the team, we will do because as per the format of the game is concerned, on the main day, anything can happen. So it is important for any team to make sure that environment of the team is good. It's a team culture and their own process. Team members should spend good and healthy time together so that their chance to win this tournament will be more. I hope they try and maintain that because losing and winning the game is a part of the field. Our job to make sure that team gets motivated and inspired so that they can enjoy the game and perform their best in the field."
