West Indies will be touring India for a T20 series along with an ODI series in December and even before the inception of the clash between the two teams, the tour has already started facing troubles. According to reports, the first T20 International match between the Men in Blue and West Indies at Wankhede Stadium on December 6 may need a change of venue.

Mumbai Police recently told the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) that they will be unable to provide the necessary police force for the international fixture on December 6.

A senior police official said that they have informed MCA about the situation. He added that while no meeting with CP or Joint Cp has been held so far, a talk will soon be held and after which, a final decision will be taken about the T20 tussle.

On average, the service of close to 1,200 police officers along with 300 traffic personnel is required for an international cricket match in Mumbai. Accordingly, if Mumbai is unable to hold the match, MCA is reportedly said to be exploring the possibility of swapping the third T20 with Hyderabad.
