Shivaji Park Superstars recorded a nail-biting victory over Mulund Master Blaster on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Police Gymkhana.
Shivaji Park won the toss and elected to bat first with openers Amar Padhye and Kedar Kango taking the crease. Padhye started the innings on a high with a quick 58 off 30 balls but his partner Kango fell early for 8.
The next 3 batsmen for Shivaji Park fell quickly but Kiran Ramayane's 36 in 19 guided SPS to 170/9.
Vivek Prabhu bagged 3 wickets with Tushar Dhargalkar and Marzooq Saiyed picking up 2 wickets each.
Mulund made an impressive start to their innings with Amey Adkar and Ankit Jain scoring 46 and 49 each but the middle order collapsed. There were 4 run outs in the second innings and with Yogesh Patel's 2 wickets, SPS were successful in restricting Mulund to 167/7 and grabbing a close win.
