Chasing the mammoth target of 195, Alpesh Ramjani did the job for the Lions with an unbeaten 64 off just 34 deliveries. The Lions easily chased the massive target with 6 wickets and 2.1 overs to spare.
The Lions won the toss and put the Sobo Supersonics to bat first. The Supersonics’ batsmen, Abhishek Nayar and Aakarshit Gomel scored 51 runs each, which helped Supersonics to reach the total of 194 at the loss of seven wickets.
Both Nayar and Gomel ran through the Shivaji Park Lions’ bowling attack and put up a 100-run stand for the second wicket. However, it was a brilliant cameo from Rohan Raje who hit 26 off 11 balls that helped the Supersonics get ahead of the 190 run-mark.
But the Lions were prepared for everything that came in their way. The openers gave a firm start and put up the base for the chase. Due to which, Alpesh Ramjani and Hardik Tamore put up a crucial partnership of 90 runs leading the Lions to victory.
Ramjani, the Man of the Match scored an unbeaten 64 off 34 balls with five fours and five sixes while Tamore contributed 32 runs from his end.
