The first playoffs resulted in a victory for Triumph Knights who won against Sobo Supersonics by 40 runs. The Sobo Supersonics won the toss and chose to bowl with an intention to chase down the target set by Triumph Knights.
Triumph Knights openers put up 40 runs and gave a good start but after they lost their wickets, no batsman stood tall. Then Suryakumar, the skipper of Triumph Knights came and scored his first fifty of the tournament in 31 balls. After his fifty, he tried accelerating by hitting two back to back sixes but soon got bowled trying to hit the third one by Harmeet Singh. Due to his 63 off 34 balls, Triumph Knights scored 162-6.
Sobo Supersonics’ skipper, Abhishek Nayar got two wickets to his share whereas the other four bowlers Badre, Ankur, Matkar, and Harmeet scalped one wicket each.
Sobo Supersonics lost their wicket off the first ball of the innings. The Supersonics kept losing wickets at regular intervals and failed to put up any significant partnerships, leading to their loss. Sobo Supersonics were no match for the Triumph Knights and after putting a little fight were bowled out for 122.
Bowlers, Kalpesh Sawant scalped in three wickets while Aditya Dhumal took two wickets for Triumph Knights.
The Triumph Knights will now advance to the finale whereas the Supersonics will get another opportunity to register themselves in the finale by winning the match against the winner of the Eliminator.
