According to reports, a 47-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old girl. Later, the accused has been sent to one-day police custody, according to Kopri Police Station on Monday, November 22.

Recently, the city has witnessed a growing number of crimes against women. In the aftermath of the Saki Naka rape case, Mumbai Police is set to open counselling centres for women.

Reportedly, they will set up five counselling centres for women who have survived rape, assault, domestic violence, etc. This initiative will be called 'Saksham,' and Mumbai Police has collaborated with a non-profit organisation (NGO).

In another gruesome incident that recently came to light in Maharashtra’s Beed district where a minor girl is claimed to have been raped by 400 people in the past six months. It is being alleged that even the policemen are believed to have sexually taken advantage of the survivor.

Three people were nabbed for allegedly raping a minor married girl, highlighted reports. SP Beed Raja Ramasamy stated that the survivor is two months pregnant.
