A 55-year-old man was arrested by Mumbai Police on Saturday night, January 7, after he threatened to blow up the control room. Sources allege that the call came from an unknown number and that the caller predicted that the city would experience a bombing comparable to the one that occurred in 1993 within the next two months. Additionally, the caller said that an MLA for Congress was complicit in the conspiracy. The suspect further asserted that the Nirbhaya gang rape case will be retried and that riots would break out in Mumbai.

Nabi Yahya Khan, also known as KGN and Lala, has been named as the suspect. He was detained in Malad's Pathanwadi and has a criminal history that includes allegations of robbery and abuse. Khan was captured by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) after he called in with a bomb threat.

In response to the threat, the Mumbai Police have taken measures to ensure public safety. The ATS is also investigating the case to determine the veracity of the suspect's claims and identify any possible accomplices.

The suspect's claims that an Indian National Congress MLA was involved in the bomb plot have raised suspicions that the threat may have been made with the intention of causing panic and damaging the reputation of the party.

This incident serves as a reminder of the need for vigilance and caution in the face of such threats. The Mumbai Police and the ATS are committed to ensuring the safety and security of the city and its residents.
