A young man killed his own friend by slitting his throat following which the accused committed suicide by hanging himself. The police informed that the whole incident took place around Wednesday morning. The incident took place in the youth housing society in Ghas compound in Kurla.
55-year-old Gulal Hameed owns a business of making clothes from rags in Gala No. G-9 in the society. Gulal Hamid manages this small factory with the help of his son. As helpers in the factory, Gulal Hameed employed Saddam Hussain Rafi Alam, a 27-year-old youth, along with Mohammad Ayyaz Nawab Malik Ahmad Shaikh (22).
Gulal Hameed and his son went home after work as usual. While the workers Saddam Alam and Mohammad Ayaz Sheikh used to sleep in the same compound. At 10 am on Wednesday, a person called the police to inform that a person had committed suicide in this G-9 area. After that, Senior Police Inspector Gabbaji Chimte along with his colleagues reached the spot. The police broke the gate and entered inside. Upon entering the police found that one person had hanged himself and the other person was lying in a pool of blood. The bodies of both have been sent for post-mortem by the police.
What exactly happened?
According to the police, an argument broke out between Saddam and Mohammad Ayyaz around 3 to 4 am. In a fit of rage, Saddam killed Mohammad Ayyaz by stabbing him several times in the neck with a pair of scissors. After that, Saddam committed suicide by hanging himself from the roof. The police have started an investigation into the matter and are trying to find out what exactly led to such an argument between them. Sakinaka police have registered 2 deaths and registered a case of murder against the deceased accused Saddam. The Ludo game is believed to be the root cause of the dispute.
