While offering to ferry people stuck in the rains, Nitin Nair was fined with a Challan for the same. However, in this matter, the Rabale Traffic Unit’s constable has been transferred. The traffic police have ordered further investigation into this matter.

This happened after Nitin wrote about this incident on Facebook. Vashi Police station’s inspector on Monday has also been given orders to investigate the case. After the incident, Nitin was presented before the court where he was said to pay ₹1500 as fine. ︁

According to Nitin’s Facebook post, he was travelling to work in Andheri while it was raining heavily. Meanwhile, some people were stuck in the rains and Nitin offered to help them. A 60-year-old senior citizen was also among the people who were stuck.

However, traffic cops came and started clicking pictures of his car. In his post, Nitin said that police told him that helping unknown people is illegal.
