Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has received a threat call again amid the ongoing tussle between Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government and Kangana Ranaut. The threat calls come after Deshmukh ordered a probe into the allegations that the actress has consumed drugs.

According to sources, the threat calls were made by unidentified and unknown persons from Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday and around 6:00 AM on Wednesday. It is learnt that the threat call was received at Deshmukh’s office in Nagpur and the matter is being investigated.

While speaking during the monsoon session of Maharashtra Legislature, Deshmukh had criticised Kangana saying that she has insulted Mumbai Police and Maharashtra. The minister said that people will not tolerate the insult and all parties should come together to condemn her.

Earlier, Deshmukh ordered a drug probe on the basis of a request made by Shiv Sena MLAs Sunil Prabhu and Pratap Sarnaik. The minister directed Mumbai Police to look into the details of media reports which claim that Kangana takes drugs.

Deshmukh had also slammed the central government for providing ‘Y-plus’ security to Kangana who “insulted” Mumbai and Maharashtra with her statements.

Amid the huge tussle, Deshmukh has received these threat calls asking the minister not to take any action against the actress. Kangana is scheduled to reach Mumbai on September 9.

On Monday, an anonymous person called up Deshmukh’s office in Nagpur. The caller threatened him and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar. This happened a day after an unidentified caller claiming to be Dawood Ibrahim’s aide called up the landline number at Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence Matoshree.

Meanwhile, Kangana has said that she will cooperate with the Mumbai Police and give her blood sample for the drug test. If found any links with drug peddlers, Kangana has claimed that she will leave Mumbai forever and apologise.
