Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal, on Monday, December 21, arrived at the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office at around 11.30 am for a round of interrogation. As per reports, this went on for 6 hours of interrogation, after which NCB permitted Arjun to return home.

Earlier, the bureau had questioned Rampal and his girlfriend Gabriela Demetrius regarding the possession of drugs and arrested Gabriela's brother in the matter. Later, the NCB found some new evidence, basis which Rampal was called for interrogation and questioning to verify the same.

Later, actor Arjun Rampal's girlfriend Gabriela Demetrius and her brother were arrested, post which Arjun, in an earlier inquiry, stated that he had nothing to do with the case. The NCB squad raided Arjun Rampal's house whereby they found some illegal and prohibited pills, to which he mentioned that the same was being taken after doctors consultation and advice.

However, the prescription letter given by the doctor concerned in the NCB inquiry was given to Arjun's acquaintance, but he denied the same and told NCB that he was given the same. Clarification was sought regarding the matter and Rampal was questioned on Monday for six hours and later released by the NCB.

After Sushant Singh Rajput's demise and controversy regarding the drug scandal and connection, the NCB started arresting several dealers and smugglers related to the case and the crime. Recently, popular comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limachiya were also arrested during the search operation. The couple agreed to the possession of drugs and were sent to custody.
