Kharghar police, on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, arrested a fake doctor working at a multispeciality hospital in Sector 15 of the locality. The accused has been identified as Rohit Yadav (27) and has no medical degree. Reports state that a medical officer and his team at the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) with the help of Kharghar police conducted a raid on the hospital and arrested him.
Meanwhile, reports also state that the fake doctor was arrested by Shivaji Nagar police two years ago and was released on bail. Despite that, he pretended to be a doctor again and started treating patients.

A complaint was lodged against him as he was working at a multispeciality hospital. Information was shared by Chitra Salunkhe to the Kharghar police. To take action and arrest him, the medical officer of Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC), Dr. Bhaktaraj Bhoite pretended to have a stomach ache and sent him to the hospital around 1 am. Yadav examined him and wrote a letter stating that he needed injections and medicine.

After receiving the information from the medical officers of the municipality along with their team raided the hospital 1:30 am, and on being, Yadav said that he was an RMO at night in the hospital and that he was working to manage the patients at night. During the time of the raid, he informed about checking the patients and offering the necessary medicines.
Officials have revealed that Yadav does not have a medical degree currently. Further investigation in regards to this matter is underway.
