Dabholkar Murder Case: Bombay High Court hands Sharad Kalaskar's custody to CBI

With Bombay High Court’s order to transfer Sharad Kalaskar’s custody from ATS to CBI, it is expected that there will be more development in the Dabholkar Murder Case.

Bombay High Court on Monday, in its verdict, handed over Sharad Kalaskar’s custody to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Kalaskar was arrested by Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in connection with the Nalasopara Explosive Case. Earlier, CBI’s demand to transfer Kalaskar’s custody for the Dabholkar Murder Case was rejected by the court.

ATS arrested Vaibhav Raut along with Sudhanwa Gondhalekar, and Sharad Kalaskar in connection with the Nalasopara Explosive Case. However, their custody was over on Monday.

As this happened, CBI requested the court to provide the three arrested into their custody for interrogation and the high court has accepted their demand. As per the court orders, ATS will hand over the three suspects in CBI’s custody.

Earlier, after Kalaskar was arrested, ATS managed to arrest Sachin Andhure, the prime suspect in Dabholkar Murder Case. CBI wishes to interrogate Andhure and Kalaskar together in the case.
