Cybercrime awareness on Police Rising Day programme

Kandivali- On the occasion of Maharashtra Police Rising Day, Kandivali’s Samta Nagar police along with the Mumbai Police's Cyber Crime division arranged an awareness programme on cybercrime for students of Thakur college.

Around 600 students of Commerce and Science from Thakur college were present at the awareness programme at the Thakur college auditorium. With Cyber Crime officer A P Londe and his team, Samta Nagar police station's API Sarang, PSI Netra Mule, PSI Patil and PSI Jagtap and their teams were present.

Cybercrime expert AP Londe explained how one should be careful while using social media platforms like Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, and also explained to people how they should avoid falling prey to fraudsters during online transactions. Students were also asked not to accept friendship requests by unknown persons and not to share the password to anyone.
