Mumbai Police on Saturday detained popular television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee. The police will be questioning her with regards to the Rajeshwar Udani's death row.
A few days back BJP activist and businessman (diamond merchant) from Ghatkopar, Rajeshwar Udani, did not return home. This raised concern and the police began investigating the matter after they received a missing complaint. It is being said that the case has finally been solved and the police, earlier this week, found a decomposed body near Panvel. However, the car has not been traced yet. The Panvel Police suspect this to be a murder. Udani’s body was found near Dehrang Dam on Tuesday and it was identified because of his clothes and footwear.
During the investigation, it was found that Udani had connections with many known people including some television actresses. Keeping the same in mind, Police have detained some people including minister’s assistant and bar girls.
Devoleena began her career with Dance India Dance and became famous as Gopi Bahu with her show, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, which aired on Star Plus.
