Dongri police foils kidnapping; rescues the victim

Dongri - Four accused held for kidnapping and extorting money and rescued the victim.
On 4th February, Mohammed Modijul (22) left for his friend's place but did not return home. However, after some time, his parents got a ransom call. “If you want your brother alive, pay Rs. 7 lakhs,” were the words of an abductor. His brother went to police and told the ordeal.
After registering the complaint, police started searching for the accused and finally arrested the accused Shamiullah Iliyaz from JJ hospital. He then gave the lead of other three of his accomplices, i.e. Firoze Raeen, and Mukesh Raeen. “After arresting the accused, we rescued the boy from Dharavi. One of the boys who abducted the victim knew him well. He told his other friends and they decided to abduct Mohammed. Accused took the victim out and gave him buttermilk with a sedative in it. After which Mohammed lost his consciousness and woke up in Dharavi’s small shanty,” said Manoj Sharma, DCP, Zone 1. “After giving me buttermilk I felt unconscious. After which they tied me up and threatened me to not to shout. They told me that until they get the money they will not leave me,” said Mohammed, victim.
