Mumbai- The iconic Eros theatre will continue to be sealed, even as district collectorate officials and police officers reached the Cambata building this morning to de-seal it according to Bombay High Court orders issued late yesterday.
Employees of various offices situated inside the iconic Cambata building, were seen waiting  for the de-sealing of the premises this morning. Offices on the first, fourth and fifth floors hae  now been de-sealed, as also the Pronto Pizza restaurant on the ground floor. The theatre will however not be de-sealed, officials said this morning.
The district collectorate had attached the building, also known as the Eros building for the theatre it houses, on Wednesday morning. Within six hours however, the Bombay high court directed the collector to de-seal the building by 10.30 am on January 19.
The building houses 24 other offices apart from the Eros theatre. Employees were seen gathered outside the building at 10.30 am waiting for the orders of de-sealing to be carried out.
The building was sealed as Cambata Aviation, which has defaulted on employees' dues, is owned by the Cambata Trust, which controls the Eros building.
