A case of indecent filming of a 12-year-old girl and demanding ransom from her has taken place in Dongri area and a case has been registered against four boys in this case. These children have been sent to the Dongri Children's Reformatory.


The 12-year-old victim was video-called by two boys in April 2023. At that time, the accused threatened the victim girl and asked her to remove her clothes and filmed her. He also demanded obscene photographs from her from time to time. He threatened to broadcast this photograph and filming on social media.

The accused then started demanding money from the victim girl. The accused demanded a ransom of 20 thousand rupees from the girl. The girl gave these boys eight thousand rupees. But she refused to pay more. The accused were threatening her. Finally, after the victim girl told this incident to her mother, she lodged a complaint with the Dongri police. Accordingly, the police registered a case against the four minors under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses and Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO).
