Former revenue minister Eknath Khadse has heaved a sigh of relief as ethical hacker Manish Bhangale has been arrested under sections 468, 471 of IPC and section 66(d) of IT act. He had alleged that Khadse was in contact with gangster Dawood Ibrahim. Bhangale will be kept in police custody until 5 April. This information was given by Akhilesh Singh, deputy commissioner, Cyber Cell.

“Papers submitted by Manish were fake and emails were also fake. After a thorough investigation, we arrested him. Now, we are investigating further to understand his motto,” said Singh.

Ethical hacker Bhangale had claimed that Khadse was in touch with infamous gangster Dawood Ibrahim. To support his statement, he had submitted phone call records and four landline numbers of Dawood’s Karachi residence. Bhangale claimed that these four landline numbers belonged to Dawood’s wife Mehajbin Sheikh. Bhangale alleged that there were calls from these landlines numbers to Mumbai’s mobile number which belonged to Khadse.
