Pratiksha Nagar- On Sunday night, jeweller Bablu Suvarna Sardar, a resident of Jai Maharashtra Nagar in Pratiksha Nagar was looted and assaulted by local goons.
Around 11:30 pm a local goon, identified as Tyagi forced his way into Sardar's house along with his two accomplices and demanded Rs 1 lakh from him. when Sardar refused to fulfil their demands, they assaulted him and they took away his mobile, and also threatened to kill him.
A complaint of extortion and looting has been lodged with the Wadala TT police station. Senior police inspector Sushil Kamble has ordered police inspector Sunil Kadam and sub-inspector Naresh Sawant to book the assailants as soon as possible. Two of the accused have been identified with the help of sketches - Tyagraj alias Tyagi and Arvind. Further investigations are on.
