N M Joshi Marg police makes one arrest in Kamala Mills fire incident

N M Joshi Marg police have made a breakthrough in the Kamala Mills fire case by arresting bookie Vishal Karia. According to the police, when the fire broke out in Mojo’s Bistro, Karia helped 1 Above owner Abhishek Mankar by driving his Audi car away from the scene. After arresting Karia, they also seized the car which was parked near Karia's residence. On Wednesday, police will present Karia in the court.

How did he manage to escape?

On December 29, 2017, a massive fire broke out in Mojo’s Bistro and 1 Above where 14 people lost their lives while 30 people were injured. When 1 Above's owner Abhishek Mankar got the details of the casualties, who was at his residence, immediately called Kripesh Sanghvi’s friend Vishal Karia and told him about the fire incident. The latter went to Kamala Mills to analyse the situation and then went to Mankar's residence. Mankar then asked Karia to drive his Audi car and park at his residence to divert police's investigation.

When police were searching for Mankar, they got to know that Karia was in contact with Mankar.
