Nalasopara Explosives Case: Maharashtra ATS arrests Shrikant Pangarkar

After Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) arrested Shrikant Pangarkar in connection with the explosives found in Nalasopara. Pangarkar, 40, was arrested from Jalna district in Maharashtra.  

ATS booked Pangarkar under the Explosive Substances Act, Explosives Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The court has sent him to police custody till August 28.

Former Shiv Sena Corporator, Pangarkar was also interrogated in relation to Narendra Dabholkar Murder case. ATS got the lead on Pangarkar while interrogating Sachin Andhure who was arrested on Saturday and is currently under Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) custody till August 26.

Earlier, ATS arrested Vaibhav Raut who belongs to Sanatan Sanstha for possession of explosives material at his residence in Nalasopara. Along with Raut, ATS got the lead on Sharad Kalaskar and Sudhnawa Sudhir Gondhalekar.

While interrogating Kalaskar, ATS was able to arrest the main shooter in the Dabholkar Murder case, as claimed by Kalaskar in the interrogation. Through Andhure, the police were able to pick up Pangarkar.
