Kherwadi police have nabbed a wanted criminal Vinod Patil who was on the run for the last six months. He was on the hit list of the Nashik police, for having duped several persons in the last year.
26 year old Vinod Patil had established the ‘House of Investment’ company through which he used to accept money from people and promised them lucrative returns. He was helped in this venture by his friends. Initially, they used to give good returns but later they stopped giving out the returns. Patil and his accomplices have duped 3,664 people and defrauded them of Rs. 30.93 crore, police say.
On Wednesday, the Nashik police received a tipoff saying Patil would be arriving in Mumbai. They immediately informed the Kherwadi police and laid a trap for Patil.
