Kinara hotel cylinder blast victims to move High Court

Mumbai- Incident of cylinder blast in City Kinara hotel in Kurla, in which 8 people lost their lives. The government had announced to compensate Rs. 1 lakh to the victim’s family. Demand draft of Rs 100 was given as the first installment of the compensation amount then announced by the government.

It was like joking with the emotions of the victims’ families. So an NGO names as Watch Dog foundation has reached court against this imprudence by the government.

Watch Dog foundation’s Trustee Adv. Godfrey Pimenta said that in that incident many families lost their dear ones, among the victims some were the only dependent for the family, now what will they do? Pimenta Further said that BMC officials and the hotel owners are responsible for this incident but they didn’t even bother about the victim families. So Pimenta has approached for hearing at Lokayukt that from Chief Minister’s fund the families should be given the compensation amount assured to them.
Watch Dog foundation has asked for 40 lakhs as compensation.
