The police have seized the accused’s phone and has sent it to the forensic lab to retrieve the video

A 30-year-old woman was shocked when she realised that she was being stalked in broad daylight while travelling on the Mumbai metro. Along with this, the accused was allegedly filming a video of her, said, the complainant. 

She immediately filed a police complaint and Andheri police arrested a 29-year-old man.

As per the complainant, on Tuesday morning, the Bandra resident had gone to meet her friend in Marol. While returning home, the victim and another friend boarded the metro from Marol. Around 11:30 am, the accused boarded the same metro at Airport station. After a while, the accused started moving around the complainant and started filming her video. The friend informed the victim who then confronted the accused.

Along with the victim, other commuters checked the accused’s phone and saw her video. However, when police took the accused in custody, they didn’t find any video. Police have registered a case under sections 354, 354 D, 509 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 66E of the Information Technology Act. Meanwhile, the police have also sent his phone to the forensic lab to retrieve the video.
