In the Govind Nagar area of Bhiwandi, a nine-year-old girl was taken to a house and sexually assaulted and strangled to death. Shantinagar police have arrested Abhay Yadav (40) in this case. Citizens of Bhiwandi are demanding severe punishment for the accused.
The girl lived with her parents and siblings in a building in Govind Nagar. About a month ago, they had come to live in a room on the second floor of this building. The girl's mother and father work in a loom factory. While brother and sister go to work in the area. So the girl is alone in the house. When her father came home on Thursday evening, she was not found in the house.
So her family members and local citizens started searching for her. But she could not be found. Local children informed that Abhay, who lives on the third floor of their building, used to take the girl home. So her father went to Abhay's house. When they opened the door, their daughter was found there unconscious. She was immediately admitted to the government hospital in Bhiwandi. During inspection, doctors found out that she was sexually assaulted and died.
After receiving information about the incident from the Shantinagar Police, the team of Senior Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad started searching for Abhay. Around 2:30 am, he was found sleeping near a loom factory. The police immediately took him into custody and arrested him.
