The security guard, who was on night duty, has alleged that three persons in a vehicle started arguing with him for not revealing the address of Thackeray’s farmhouse after which they started pushing him.

The Raigad Police on Wednesday arrested three persons for allegedly trespassing the farmhouse of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at Khalapur. The officials have informed that two of the accused are reporters from a leading news channel. 

It is learnt that the reporters allegedly manhandled and threatened the security guard at Thackeray’s farmhouse who later registered a complaint at Khalaur Police station. The incident took place at around 7:30 PM on Tuesday.

The security guard, who was on night duty, has alleged that three persons in a vehicle started arguing with him for not revealing the address of Thackeray’s farmhouse after which they started pushing him. 

The police have informed that the security guard had lied to three persons saying that he wasn’t aware of the farmhouse's address. However, after a few minutes, the three persons went inside the security guard’s room and manhandled him. 

After the security guard informed the Khalapur police about the incident, they rushed to the spot. The security guard was able to note the registration number of the vehicle and the three were caught at a toll booth in Navi Mumbai. 

Police have booked the three under 452, 448, 323, 504, 506, 34 sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police said that two of them were journalists of a well-known news channel. 

Meanwhile, security at the bungalow has been beefed outside CM Thackeray’s residence Matoshree following a threat call from an unidentified caller claiming to be Dawood Ibrahim’s aide 

This happened amid the ongoing tussle between Actress Kangana Ranaut and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra.
