MCOCA against seven people

MCOCA has been invoked against Kaskar, Shakeel, Mumtaz Shaikh, Israr Sayyad, Pankaj Gangar, Guddu and Shami in an extortion case registered at the Kasarwadavali police station in Thane.

Because MCOCA has been invoked, Iqbal Kaskar getting released on bail becomes highly unlikely.

Kaskar demands ransom from a builder

On September 18, Iqbal Kaskar was arrested by Pradeep Sharma, an encounter specialist in Thane and after investigation, it was revealed that Kaskar used to demand a ransom from builders by using his brother, Dawood Ibrahim’s name.

During this investigation, Dawood’s other brother, Anees Ibrahim and his close aide, Chota Shakeel were also guilty of extortion.
