In a huge boost for Indian agencies, wanted terrorist and 1993 Mumbai Bomb blast accused Abu Bakar was arrested by Indian officials on February 13, Wednesday in a major overseas operation in Dubai. However, it is still unclear whether the major accused in the 1993 Mumbai blasts will be extradited or not.
Bakar had been on a run from India for a long time. Reportedly, he was also known to have attended a training camp at Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) prior to the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai.

The terrorist was also involved in bringing the RDX and conspiring the attacks with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim at his residence in Dubai. Along with Bakar, another accused in the attacks, Firoz who is a son of a retired Indian Navy officer, has also been apprehended.
According to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Firoz had full knowledge of the conspiracy of the 1993 serial blasts.
