Mumbai man hit by Rajat Bedi’s car in serious condition

Rajesh Doot was hit by the actors’ car on Monday at 6.30 pm while returning from work is in a critical condition. The victim is a 39-year old resident of DN Nagar, Mumbai.

Rajat Bedi admitted him at Cooper Hospital, Mumbai, and even promised to help the family in all the way possible. However, Doot’s family said that he left sometime later. Addressing the media, the doctor who is providing treatment to Rajesh Doot said, “His condition is too critical, as he sustained head injuries. He is in the ICU and on oxygen support. He urgently needs blood.”

An FIR has been registered against the actor at DN Nagar Police station under Sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act. However, no arrest has been made yet said Senior inspector Milind Kurde told the media.

Babita Doot, wife of the victim also gave stated to the media saying, “The incident occurred at 6.30 pm when my husband was returning from work and he was drunk. Actor Rajat Bedi, who was driving his car with license number MH 02 CD 4809, hit my husband when he was crossing the road. He fell down, sustaining injuries to the back of his head.”

After rushing him to the hospital actor interacted with Doot’s wife. His wife told the media, “At the hospital, Bedi told us that my husband suddenly came in front of the car. He assured to help us and said that both he and his driver Suresh were there at the hospital. But after some time, he said he was leaving briefly, but never came back.”

The couple is survived by two children, Ankita who is 13 years old, and Tejasvi who is 7 years old. They live in a slum area at DN Nagar.
