The Mumbai Police have traced 127 lost/ missing mobile phones in the last 6 months and returned them to their registered owners after recovering the devices from various parts of the country.
The Anti-Terrorism Cell (ATC) traced these cell phones, worth around INR 19 lakh, said an official of the Andheri police, who recovered the lost devices in the last two years.
According to Assistant Police Inspector (API) Pramod Magar, "These mobile phones were lost from various places in Andheri since 2022, we traced and recovered the phones in the last six months and returned them to their owners on the occasion of Diwali."
He said that with the help of technical analysis, these mobile phones were traced to various states like Karnataka, Assam, West Bengal and Rajasthan.
