To control the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, a complete lockdown was imposed in India. In Maharashtra too the lockdown has been in place since March. There have been a number of relaxations have been offered ever since June so that economic activities can start. As Maharashtra continues to be the hotspot with the maximum number of cases, the relaxations offered under the "Mission Begin Again too are limited. Till date, people are confused in regards to what is allowed and not allowed in the state.

In the last four days, 2,000 vehicles have been seized by the Mumbai Traffic Police for numerous vilations of the lockdown. Mumbai traffic police have seized 592 vehicles on Tuesday, 633 on Wednesday, 550 on Thursday and Friday and a total of 2,000 vehicles in four days.

However, the citizens have expressed their displeasure over the action taken by the police. Many citizens took to social media to question whether it is lockdown or 'un'lockdown. People ask the same question when there are jams at common junctions. Even in the past, people had raised objections regarding seizing of vehicles and there have been frequent clashes between the citizens and the police and this time is no different.

The Police on their part has said that these restrictions are necessary to avoid overcrowding and breaking the chain of the virus. They have also shared that various guidelines have been put in place and the same will help in breaking the chain of the virus. The Traffic Police also asserted people to be aware of the rules regarding venturing out so as to avoid any strict action.
