Navi Mumbai: Woman kills another by hitting a food plate on her head

In a psychiatric nursing home in Airoli, Navi Mumbai, a woman was injured when another woman hit a food plate on her head. Unfortunately she did not survive the hit. A case has been registered against the accused psychotic woman in this case. But she has not been arrested yet as she is a psychopath.


Swami Samarth Seva Sanstha's old age home is located in Row House, Airoli Sector 4, where psychiatric patients are provided. Three to four women sleep in one room. In one of the rooms, a 65-year-old man attacked two women who were sleeping on the adjacent bed on June 11 at half past two in the morning. One of the women ran into the toilet inside the room and locked the door from inside. But another 60-year-old woman was fast asleep and before she knew it, the accused woman repeatedly hit her on the head with a food plate and bit her hard.

This incident came to light when the nursing home attendant came to the room between 9:30 in the morning. Also, after realising that someone else had come out, the woman who was hiding in the toilet came out and narrated the incident. When the injured woman was admitted to the hospital, doctors declared her dead. 


As soon as this incident came to know, Deputy Commissioner Vivek Pansare, Assistant Commissioner D. D. Tele, Senior Police Inspector D.D. Dhaka, Police Inspector B.N. Auti visited. As the accused is a psychopath, she has not been arrested. Although there are CCTVs in this place, they are closed, police inspector D. D. Ooty said.
