Mumbai is such a big city that many things go unnoticed and brothels are among these places. One cannot imagine where brothels actually operate from.

Recently, Mumbai Police’s Social Service Branch and Mahim police raided a clinic where they found out that a quack was running a brothel under the name of a clinic. He had put up a board with his name (Janardan Narsaiya Bhoga) as a doctor but in reality, he was engaging in flesh trade.

The 62-year-old's clinic was situated in the 21 number building of Mahim’s fisherman colony and he was running it for the past three years. He had made three partitions in his so-called clinic and used to carry out his illegal activities.

According to police, he used drive genuine patients away by telling them that he couldn't treat them or is was not specialised in it.

On Monday night, Mahim police received a tip, who then sent one of their officers as a customer. And when they confirmed that he was a quack, they immediately arrested him along with two women and also confiscated his mobile phone.

Police are now investigating about other two quacks whose name Bhoga mentioned in the board. Upon enquiring, he confessed that he was doing it to earn extra money.

He was produced in the court after which he was sent to police custody until December 22. Mahim police are investigating further and await more details.
