On Monday, December 13, the Mumbai police stated that nearly 17 women were rescued during a dance bar raid in Andheri, Mumbai. The women were found inside a secret basement that was interconnected to a makeup room, mentioned the police, highlighted accounts.

According to reports, officials from the dance bar hid the women after they were apprised of the raid utilizing an advanced electronic system in its premises.

On Saturday, December 11, the raid was undertaken at Deepa Bar in Andheri after a tip-off that women were made to dance in front of customers. However, narratives claim that the search operation did not transpire as the authorities would have hoped.

Officials stated that places used to hide the bar girls such as the bathroom, storage room as well as kitchen were empty. Even repeated questioning of the bar manager, waiter and cashier didn’t render any progress since they kept refuting that dance women were utilized in the bar.

However, what caught the eye of the officials was the large mirror in the make-up room. They tried to remove the mirror but couldn’t since it was strategically latched to the wall. Later, with the assistance of a hammer, the mirror was broken.

This led to a secret basement wherein seventeen dancers were found. The basement came equipped with AC and beds, said officials. Thus, against the staff that included that manager and cashier of the bank, a case has been registered, mentioned narratives.
