A new video from a private clinic in Kalyan has surfaced, showing the receptionist slapping a woman in a tense argument with the group of people minutes before she was violently assaulted.
The incident occurred at Shree Bal Chikitsalaya in Kalyan East. The group had arrived at the clinic with a child. The accused, Gokul Jha, was seen arguing with the receptionist. His sister-in-law tried to stop the argument and urged him to step away.
After this, the receptionist walked away from her desk, threw some papers, and approached the woman. She then slapped the woman and pointed towards Jha and the others.
Moments later, Jha followed the other man in the group, came back, and confronted the receptionist. In a sudden act of violence, he slammed her to the ground and kicked her. Other members of the group intervened and pulled him back. Medical staff rushed to help the shaken receptionist and moved her to a chair.

Another video, recorded earlier, also went viral. It shows Jha kicking the receptionist, dragging her by her hair, and assaulting her in full view of others inside the clinic.
The receptionist, 26-year-old Sonali Pradeep Kalasare, was injured in the attack. She told police that she had stopped Jha from entering the doctor’s room without an appointment. She had been asked by the on-duty doctor to not allow anyone in as he was meeting a medical representative. When Jha was asked to wait, he became angry and started abusing and beating her. She said she managed to call her sister while being attacked.

Jha attempted to evade arrest by changing his appearance. He was arrested on Tuesday. A local court placed him in two-day police custody on Wednesday.
The incident drew strong reactions from political leaders. MNS’s Thane and Palghar chairman Avinash Jadhav demanded strict action, calling it an attack on a Marathi woman by a migrant. The receptionist is being treated at the same hospital where the incident happened.
BJP state president Ravindra Chavan met with Deputy Commissioner of Police Atul Zende and urged for a swift response. Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. Charges include assault, obscene language, and outraging the modesty of a woman.
