Students’ safety has come under tremendous scrutiny after the Ryan International School incident and recently, a case from Mumbai has come to light where a teacher has allegedly harassed a student.
A 9th-grade student was allegedly beaten and harassed by a teacher from Goregaon’s Mount Mary High School.
The student’s parents have filed a complaint against the teacher at Goregaon police station.
A few days ago, the teacher had physically assaulted the student for not completing her homework and the student complained of ear pain after the assault. She was taken to a doctor to get her ear checked later on.
A complaint was registered later and the police called the teacher and school principal for further investigation.
