Student accuses SNDT College warden of misconduct

Update: Female warden of SNDT Women's University Hostel has been suspended for four days  

On Sunday, Santacruz police filed an FIR against the female warden of SNDT women's University Hostel in Juhu for forcing a third-year B.Tech student to strip to prove that she had a skin infection. 

According to the teenager, she had developed rashes on her body because of which, she was asked to wear a sleeveless top and a shawl. She further said that while she was walking to the hostel, she was stopped by warden Rachana Jhaveri, who forcibly took her to another room and made her strip.

The police have filed a case under IPC Section 354 against warden Jhaveri who has been summoned and has been asked to be present at Santacruz police station.

Meanwhile, SNDT authorities said that they received the complaint and said that they will form an 'appropriate committee' to look into the matter and take action if needed.
