Powai – The Social Service Branch (SSB) of the Mumbai Police busted an online sex racket and rescued five girls from the clutches of sex racketeers here on Thursday night. The SSB sleuths, on getting information that a sex racket is being run online through a website ‘my locanto info’, called a contact person named Rishi. A deal was fixed accordingly and SSB police sent a decoy to confirm the information. After getting confirmation, a trap was laid and five agents and five girls involved in the fresh trade were arrested from Relax Inn Hotel, Sunshristi Complex, Gurukrupa Hotel, Tunga village and Saki Vihar road areas in Powai. The rescued girls were sent in women’s observation home. The sex racketeers were booked under the relevant section of the law. Powai police are investigating further.
