SC dismisses narco terrorist’s family plea directing to seize Dawood Ibrahim’s properties

On April 20, 2018, the Supreme Court directed the Central government to seize seven of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's properties in Mumbai. As per the PTI reports, the apex court dismissed narco terrorist’s family plea against attachment of their properties by the government, adding that they belong to Dawood.

The plea was filed by Ibrahim’s mother Amina Bi in the Supreme Court and sister, Haseena Ibrahim Parker.

In November 2017, the Ministry of Finance auctioned three south Mumbai properties for ₹11.5 Cr which included Hotel Raunaq Afroz – also known as Delhi Zaika, Shabnam Guest House, and six rooms in the Damarwala building, on Pakmodia Street.

Prior to this, British authorities had seized his assets worth $6.7 billion in the UK.
