Since the first day of investigation, the Bihar police have been facing several hurdles with regards to Sushant Singh Rajput's case. In a recent update, SP Vinay Tiwari who arrived in Mumbai on Sunday has been asked to remain in quarantine for 15 days in view of the pandemic.
The Bihar Police had earlier sent a 4-member team to Mumbai to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. So far, the team has recorded the statements of Sushant’s sister Mitu, actor Ankita Lokhande, among others in the case.
On the other hand, the Bihar government has filed a caveat before the Supreme Court challenging actor Rhea Chakraborty's petition seeking transfer of the FIR registered in Patna to Mumbai, said Lalit Kishore, Advocate General, Bihar government.
Earlier this week, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father had lodged an FIR against the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. Sushant's father has alleged in the FIR that all of Rhea's expenses were taken care of by his late son and that she has embezzled an amount of ₹15 crores from the late actor.
Meanwhile, new revelations regarding the case of suicide have been making the headlines every day. In recent developments, Sushant Singh Rajput’s old cook, who was fired allegedly on the behest of Rhea Chakraborty, has stated that he worked for the late actor will September 2019, and he did not seem to be under any stress during that period.
The Mumbai Police was earlier said to question Neeraj, Rajput’s household helper about the deceased actor's lifestyle. According to reports, the Mumbai Police wanted to understand Sushant Singh Rajput's schedule and routine, which he followed before his death in order to understand the intricate details about what transpired on June 14, which led to Sushant Singh Rajput's death.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai Apartment on June 14, 2020. He was 34 years old and was widely known for his work in films like Kai Po Che, Kedarnath, Chhichhore, PK among others.
